Intro Package (3 sessions) $120

This package is for beginners to pilates and serves as an introduction to the STOTT Pilates basic principles. The pace is slower in the beginning depending on your bodies depth of awareness.

What is STOTT PILATESĀ® ?

STOTT PILATES is a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by Joseph Pilates. Co-founders and a team of physical therapists, sports medicine and fitness professionals, have spent three decades refining the STOTT PILATES method of exercise and equipment. This resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science, fascial fitness and spinal rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and most effective methods available.

STOTT PILATES exercises help both men and women of all ages develop optimal strength, flexibility, endurance and posture, without building bulk or stressing joints. The perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise, athletic training or rehabilitation.

As a STOTT PILATES instructor I believe in this method to help my clients. It is my goal to give my clients the insight they will need to move with intention in their day to day. 

 

Private Sessions

What is the benefit of doing a private vs group?

In our hour long private sessions we will gradually go over the 6 basic prinicples. STOTT PILATES follows the 6 principles in every exercise they do which are: breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, shoulder mobility/stability, head and neck placement, and hip, knee, and ankle placement. With my training I have learned why these principles are so important while doing the STOTT exercises. The principles may have a different meaning with larger movements or more load bearing exercises, however during our sessions this will be your foundation.

The benefit of having a private session is that you get my full undivided attention for that whole hour. I am their to help you visualize the movements and give you cues so you can feel the muscles that we are trying to isolate and use. Not every one has the same body. With that I have been trained to modify certain movements to allow you to perform the exercise with the least amount of tension on your spine or extremities. 

What are the benefits of groups. To be honest I love group sessions, and I hope you also grow to enjoy your group sessions. There is something comforting about being surround by people who are all struggling to get through the same thing together and at the end laugh about it. If that is your goal then I would love to get you to the point where you feel confident to continue on your wellness journey and make those connections with others who are on the same boat as you.
